The Community Cleanliness and Awareness Program is organized jointly by Navin Doman Theological College (NDTC) and the Community Health Ministry (CHM) on special occasions, national observances, and festive seasons. The purpose of this program is to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and public health awareness among the people living in the surrounding villages.
During the program, NDTC students and faculty members actively participate in cleaning public places, village roads, church premises, schools, and other community areas. This practical service encourages community members to maintain a clean and healthy environment and inspires them to take responsibility for the cleanliness of their surroundings.
To create greater awareness, the participants present street plays (Nukkad Natak), songs, action songs, skits, and public awareness campaigns that highlight the importance of sanitation, personal hygiene, environmental cleanliness, waste management, and disease prevention. These creative activities effectively communicate health messages and encourage people to adopt healthy habits in their daily lives.
Through this initiative, NDTC and CHM seek to serve society by promoting a culture of cleanliness, responsibility, and community participation while reflecting the love of Jesus Christ through practical acts of service. The program not only improves the physical environment but also strengthens community relationships and inspires people to work together for a healthier and cleaner society.
