The Mission Field Exposure Program is an important component of the practical ministry training at Navin Doman Theological College (NDTC). Every year, during the month of February, B.Th. Final Year students participate in a one-week Mission Field Exposure Program designed to provide firsthand experience in missionary service and cross-cultural ministry.
During this program, students are assigned to different mission fields, churches, and rural or tribal communities where they work alongside experienced pastors, missionaries, and Christian workers. They actively participate in evangelism, church planting ministries, house visitation, Bible teaching, prayer meetings, children's and youth ministries, community outreach, and pastoral care. These activities enable students to understand the practical challenges and opportunities of serving in diverse mission contexts.
The Mission Field Exposure Program helps students develop a deeper understanding of cross-cultural missions, community development, leadership, discipleship, and holistic Christian ministry. It encourages them to build meaningful relationships with local communities, appreciate different cultures and traditions, and minister with love, humility, and respect.
Beyond practical ministry experience, the program also strengthens students spiritually by encouraging them to depend on God through prayer, teamwork, and faithful service. It provides opportunities to apply classroom learning in real-life situations, helping students grow in confidence, compassion, communication skills, and servant leadership.
Through this unique ministry experience, students gain valuable insights into the realities of missionary work and become better prepared to serve as pastors, missionaries, teachers, and Christian leaders. The Mission Field Exposure Program reflects NDTC's commitment to equipping future servants of Christ who are ready to proclaim the Gospel and serve communities faithfully, both locally and globally.
