✦ Andrew Ministry ✦

chm

The Andrew Ministry is an evangelism and discipleship ministry inspired by the life and example of Andrew, one of the first disciples of Jesus Christ. Andrew is remembered in the Bible as the disciple who first brought his brother Simon Peter to Jesus (John 1:40–42). Following his example, the primary purpose of this ministry is to introduce people to Jesus Christ, proclaim the Gospel, and encourage believers to become faithful disciples and witnesses of Christ.

At Navin Doman Theological College (NDTC), the Andrew Ministry is conducted every year during the month of January by the Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) Third-Year students as an important part of their practical ministry training. During this period, students visit nearby villages and communities to build relationships with people, understand their spiritual needs, and share the love, grace, and saving message of Jesus Christ.

The ministry includes a variety of outreach activities such as home visitation, personal evangelism, prayer meetings, Bible studies, youth fellowship programs, spiritual counseling, church visitation, and community service. Through these activities, students have the opportunity to put their theological learning into practice while ministering to individuals and families in a meaningful way.

A distinctive feature of the Andrew Ministry is its emphasis on personal invitation and relationship-based evangelism. Just as Andrew personally brought people to Jesus, NDTC students are encouraged to prayerfully invite friends, relatives, neighbors, and community members to church services, Bible study groups, fellowship meetings, and other Christian gatherings. The ministry believes that genuine relationships and personal witness are powerful means through which God transforms lives.

The Andrew Ministry also helps students develop essential ministry skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork, pastoral care, evangelism, compassion, and spiritual maturity. It equips them for future service as pastors, missionaries, teachers, and Christian leaders by providing valuable hands-on ministry experience.

Through this annual ministry, NDTC seeks to fulfill the Great Commission by preparing students to faithfully proclaim the Gospel and serve communities with love and compassion. The Andrew Ministry not only strengthens the spiritual lives of the students but also extends the message of Christ to the surrounding communities, bringing hope, encouragement, and the transforming love of God to many people.
